What in the world is N-Acetyl Cysteine. (NAC)?

This is a complex chemical reaction that introduces an acetyl functional group into a chemical compound. Or, another source describes it “Acetylation is a reaction, usually with acetic acid, that introduces an acetyl radical into an organic compound.
